Ross has been involved
in the building industry for fifteen years and enjoys his work because it
gives him the opportunity to use his hands and find original solutions to
problems. He loves combining the dreams of the client and the aspirations of
the architect with a practical solution that appeals to all.
Ross studied a
pre-engineering course in Australia which covered all aspects of the
construction industry and then went on to study as a structural marine
engineer. At 22 he was in charge of fifty other men while building pipe work
for the British Phosphate Company. He has also rebuilt a six storey
manganese processing plant as well as many aluminium yachts, he learnt these
skills during his time as a marine engineer.
Ross has many hobbies
outside of his work. He makes sculptures from wood and metal. He also enjoys
fly fishing, motor biking and photography.
