Sutherland Place, London, W2

A facade retention project to a Victorian town house over five floors. Bayswater braced the party walls of the building for structural reasons, retained the front facade and demolished the remainder of the house. The basement was excavated by one and a half metres to allow an extra floor to be added to the new house. Retaining the front facade allowed us to make a modern building while remaining sympathetic to the surrounding architecture.
