Jonas is from Lithuania
and learned the art of carpentry from his father as a boy. He worked with
him in his workshop for many years before he went to university and studied
to be a P.E. teacher. He enjoyed this but after several years decided to
return to his first passion, carpentry and the building industry.
Jonas is the foreman
for this job and loves the challenge that this provides him with. He
explains how there are two main aspects to his job which must be carried out
in conjunction with one another. These are the management of the workmen on
a day to day basis and the bigger picture of keeping the project on target,
both in terms of time and budget. He thrives on the responsibility this
position provides him with.
Besides the management
side of things Jonas has particularly enjoyed the carpentry work on this
job. He loves the pressure of having to make the finishing of the work
perfect and bringing the job to completion.
In his spare time Jonas
is a keen sportsman and plays basketball, table tennis and volley ball. But
his favourite is basketball.
