Mark has been working
on this present job at Wiseton Road as the head carpenter since the job
started. He particularly enjoys being the head carpenter because he is
working on the tools all day which he enjoys the most but he also has the
added responsibility of coordinating his team of carpenters.
Mark studied for his
apprenticeship in New Zealand fifteen years ago. To complete this you need
to complete 8000 hours of work on site.
Wiseton Road is one of
the most interesting projects he has worked on. The parts of this project he
has enjoyed the most have been the parts he has been most heavily involved
in. This has primarily been the challenging design of the rear extension and
running through the design problems with the architect.
He says that Bayswater
is a great company to work for. The main reason for this is that our
resources are often moved from site to site as appropriate. This means that
everyone knows each other on all the sites and there is a great community
spirit in the company.
His hobbies are snow
boarding and scuba diving.
